No inheritance (or pursuit) in life is greater than your relationship with God. Then how much value do you place on your relationship with God?

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: this is where, I want you and myself to be very careful, every other thing will pass away, but he that doeth the will of God abides forever" (1 John 2: 15-17).

Jesus says that the "world" chokes God's Word in our heart and hinders the Word from growing and producing fruit (Luke 8: 14).

The world's system is diametrically opposite to the system of the Kingdom of God and both do not co-exist. You can not love both at the same time. Make the Word of God central in your thinking and sufficient for faith and practice and you will continue to grow. Remember that as a man thinks in his heart so he is (proverbs 23: 7).

Your growth is consistent with how far you have moved from the world to the Word.

Here are some major impedements to our spiritual growth: laziness, the unhealthy association and worldliness.

God bless!!

Our decisions as young people is actually the  summary of the outcome of our lives. We all live to become what and whom we decides to be as free moral agency.

Decision making as far as the matter of Destiny is concerned is not convenient. We just have to decide as we approach  each termini of life , hence the need for adequate preparations through valid information and it's application in our lives.

Prior to any decisions a man can make is his resolute determination to embrace and maintain a cordial relationship with His maker, through Jesus who in summary is the Destiny maker (jer. 29:11).

Marital decisions has been an issue of concern today as it was in the beginning (Gen2:18. )" it's not good for a man to be alone ". God therefore has been committed to establishing this Union in all generations that's accountable to Him.

Our marital decisions matters to God as our faith in Him. His desire  is to raise through us godly seeds in the order of the SEED that bruised the head of that ancient serpent.

The following wisdom is therefore required of us .....

1. Due consultation must be carried out prov. 3:5-7.

2. sensuality should be conquered Rom 8:8.

3. Adequate knowledge of God's mandate for your lives is helpful tips.

4. Times and seasons of our lives must be studied and watched as per God's dealing in our lives.

Thousands upon thousands lies confused in

"The Valley Of Decision ". It takes only the wisdom of God to make decisions that will matter in time and in Eternity.

It is important to discover the things that hinder our spiritual progress and deal with them.

Spiritual growth requires diligent effort, one of the basic hindrances would be laziness. We're called to: Labor in His Word- John 6:26-27, Labor in prayer- Colossians 4:12-13, Labor in faith- 1 Thessalonians 1:3, James 2:17.

This diligent effort helped the heroes of faith to inherit the promises of God. Hebrews 6:11-12 tells us to show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

and that we should not be lazy but rather be imitators of those who through faith and patience inherited the promises. There is no promise in the bible for a lazy person whether natural or spiritual except poverty.

Jesus called the lazy, "wicked and slothful and demanded that they toke the talent from him and give them to the diligent. This is contrary to what the world  believes. The world would take from the diligent that has and give it to the lazy that does not have. We call that sympathy but Jesus does not see it that way. In all labor, there is profit and Jesus is about productivity (Matthew 25:14-30).

"Be strong in the Lord believers [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides]" (Ephesians 6: 10).

No one wants to grow weak, and certainly, God does not want us to grow weak. The demands of the spiritual life and the battles involved require that we become strong. If we are going to be victorious in Christ, we have to grow strong as well. Spiritual strength is necessary for a child of God. God told Joshua three times to be strong and of a good caurage (Joshua 1:6-9).  Paul prayed and taught the New Testament believers to be strong.

"...That He would grant you, according to the riches of his glory,  to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man" (Ephesians 3: 16)

Jesus statement to Peter in Gethsemane, "Could you not watch with me one hour? Suggests that He expects us to pray for at least an hour everyday (Matth 26:40) The Apostles, encourages us to pray because prayer is one of the secrets or keys to spirituality and victory in Christ.Prayer strengthens our fellowship with God. Jesus was a man of prayer. prayer is one of the major disciplines of the early Christians. The book of Acts points out that the disciples devoted themselves to prayer. Prayer is proof of our dependence on God. (Chronicles 20: 1-15). Satan and sin cannot stand a praying person. In prayer, we receive power to bind the works of the devil and enforce God's will (Ephesians 6: 17-18, Matthew 12: 29, Matthew 16: 18-19). Prayer brings changes in our lives and enhances our destinies (Chronicles 4: 9-10). Prayer gives permission for God to intervene for us suspernaturally. It opened Peter's prison doors and opened the womb of Hannah (Acts 12: 1- 19, 1 Samuel 1: 9-20).

And He said, "It is written, 'My house shall be a house of prayer, 'but you have made it a den of thieves. " Matthew 21:13

The Temple of God  is meant to be a house of prayer not a place for buying and selling! They should be an awe that surrounds us the moment we walk into a church; the presence of the living God! When the house of God is a house of prayer that it is supposed to be, the manifest presence of God will not be lacking at all!

But when the temple is made to become a den of thieves, dread not awe becomes the inevitable! They are people who dread going to church now for fear of the "Preacher " getting every penny from their pockets.

Matthew 21, the Lord Jesus stepped into the Temple and sanitized it, got rid of all the thieves and all that defile. That happened in verse 12 and immediately in verse 14 the Bible says," Then the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them. "

Alleliua! Only the Lord knows how many blind and lame came to this temple and went back the same. They could have wondered why the living God had left them blind and lame. They might have blamed themselves for not having enough faith to secure their healing. They never knew that the thieves in the temple were the problem rather until the Lord Jesus showed up and got rid of them. The Lord  showed up and changed the church's agenda and priority from a house of "tithes and offerings"  to the HOUSE OF PRAYER.

And when the priority changed, the heavens were opened, healing took place. It was no more okay to come to the church blind and go home blind,  it was no more okay to come to the church lame and go back lame , when the temple became a house of prayer.

When the house of God becomes a house of prayer, the Healer is ever present to heal. When the temple becomes den of thieves, sorry, Jesus can't be there.

Never expect your blind eyes to see in a church that is a den of thieves. Never expect to walk or make progress in your faith, relationship with God in a church that is a den of thieves.

If you are a leader in the church, make sure, the temple is really a house of prayer not a den of thieves beginning with you. If it is a den of thieves, repentance is needed, drive out those who buy and sell , overturn the tables and the seats of the thieves in the temple and start over with the LORD JESUS:THE HEALER!

If you are a member of a church that is a den of thieves, get out quick and seek for the temple that is a house of prayer. You will be robbed of everything including eternal life.

Good morning friends. I been home for sometime now, and I think it getting close to a year now, because of health. I have been watching lot of different programs on great preachers, powerful gospel musicians and the rest of it.

A week ago, I was watching 20 minutes praise and worship-Mt Zion Baptist Church, Hand clapping foot stomping 1 hour of Traditional music and Old songs  Medley. It was so powerful that I didn't want to stop. Born again children of God, what has happened to that Old time Pentecostal Power? We have the same power that those Old time preachers had that they were shaking the whole World. Every church they went to, the power of God was always moving. Let us ask the Lord to help us bring back that Old time Power!

"...What good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?" Matthew 19:16

This was the question a RICH YOUNG RULER asked the LORD JESUS. In other words he is asking what can I do to have eternal life?
Most times we assume that riches is the ultimate accomplishment in life. We assume that when we become rich, all our problems will be solved. This is mirage. Some play the lottery, some labor from dawn to night in quest for a better life we think more money will afford us.
But here is a RICH, INFLUENTIAL, YOUTHFUL LEADER asking about ETERNAL LIFE! Why is he asking this All important question? Because regardless of the riches and influence, he knew he didn't have ETERNAL LIFE! He had riches and influence but did not have ETERNAL LIFE! He was religious. He was a morally sound young man but he knew deep down within his soul that he was not saved. He was a lost soul. He had everything money could buy but he didn't have ETERNAL LIFE!

And so he swallowed his pride, took time of his busy schedule to seek for Jesus, so as to ask Him, how he may obtain Eternal life. He was more than willing on this day to address the state of his spiritual life! And he went in search of an answer, he went in search of Jesus Christ!

When he found Jesus, he received answer to his question. Jesus Christ the LORD is the answer to your quest and eternal questions! Money is not the answer! Lottery winners end miserably! Millionaires commit suicide! Money can be an answer to physical and material needs but not THE ANSWER to your spiritual need and most importantly ETERNAL LIFE! ONLY GOD through Christ is the ANSWER!

Bottom line, Jesus the answer told the rich young man to give up EVERYTHING and follow HIM (THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE, THE ANSWER.)

The Lord asked him to give up his idols (his riches became his idol), give up his sins, religiosity and come follow HIM (the Messiah, the Savior). You want ETERNAL LIFE, that is what you need to do!

What became of this young man, we don't know! Only eternity will tell! All we know is that he went away sorrowful because he had so much trust in his "great possessions" he could not stand the thought of giving them up for ETERNAL LIFE!

Somehow, he could not afford to give up EARTHLY LIFE for ETERNAL LIFE!

But simple math could have helped him! Earthly life is worth 70 or 80 years if you live that long.

Eternal life begins from when you surrender your life to Christ into eternity that will last not  for 1,000 years, 10,000 years...but forever in heaven.

I am saying this, because I have observed in many of the churches, Pastors and other leaders of congregations allow members to do anything the feel like, gave people key positions in the church who are not Spirit filled. There are areas, you can give members to be responsible for, even if they are not Spirit filled. But there are special positions that can not just be given out to anyone. Only those who are Spirit filled or the ones that are commited and seeking the face of the Lord. I want to also say that God is not for play. You can't jump up and say let my friends or family run this in the church, if the have the qualities that I mentioned early, then of couse, key responsibilities can be given to them in the church. We got to forget about not making people to feel bad or pleasing them. And lastly, these members should be preached to most times about their Spiritual growth or messages that will stire them up, so that the will not continued to be confortable with their sinful lives. Let us know that church is about enternal Life Hell! People play all the games, tricks and every other thing in the whole World and the are tired, and the come to God house, then the want to do the same thing. We are in the last days, therefore, we need leaders who will stand up for the truth, nothing but the truth!

God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship in Spirit and in truth. John 4:24
